Privacy Policy
The protection and security of personal information is a high priority at Holistic Horse Training (“us”, “we”, “our”).
For the sake of simplicity and readability, we only use the masculine form, but all visitors and users of our pages and offers are included.
Below you will find information about what type of data is collected and for what purpose it is collected:
1. Data Transfer/Data Logging
When you visit this site, the web server automatically records log files that cannot be assigned to a specific person. This data includes e.g. the browser type and version, operating system used,
referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address of the requesting computer, access date and time of the server request and the file request from the client (file name and URL). This data is only collected for the purpose of statistical analysis. A transfer to third parties, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, does not take place.
2. Use of Personal Information
Personal data (first and last name, user name, e-mail address, birthday, city and country, as well as age and information about the horse or any other personal data you share with us) are only collected or processed if you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. as part of an inquiry or tell us at the time you are registering.
If there are no necessary reasons in connection with a business transaction, you can revoke the previously granted consent to the storage of your personal data in writing (by letter, email or contact form) at any time with immediate effect. Your data will not be passed on to third parties, unless
disclosure is required by law.
For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. You can view, change or delete your personal information at any time (the user name cannot be changed). The website administrator can also see and change this information.
3. Information, change and deletion of your data
In accordance with applicable law, you can ask us in writing at any time whether and which personal data we have stored about you. You will receive a corresponding response as soon as we read your message. You can revoke the previously granted consent to the storage of your personal data in writing (e.g. by email or contact form) at any time with immediate effect.
4. Security of your data
Your personal data made available to us will be secured by taking all technical and organizational security measures in such a way that they are inaccessible to unauthorized third parties. When sending very sensitive data or information, it is advisable to use the postal service, since complete data security via email cannot be guaranteed.
5. Storage of data based on your behavior on our website, as well as reactions to emails or our advertising (tagging and cookies)
Holistic Horse Training stores user-generated and user-related data in the form of so-called tags. These tags reflect, for example, which offers the user has purchased, how they react to our emails or how they subscribed to our email list. These tags enable us to gain insights into user behavior and serve to improve our offer and to optimize processes. Cookies are also used to save the contents of the shopping cart if you had to interrupt the purchase.
6. Google Analytics and Google Adsense Notice
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”) and Google Adsense, a web advertising service provided by Google Inc., USA (“Google”).
Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, small text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. Google Adsense also uses so-called “web beacons” (small invisible graphics) to collect information.
By using the web beacon, simple actions such as visitor traffic on the website can be recorded and collected. The information generated by cookies or web beacons about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server and stored there.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. Google may transfer this information to third parties, if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
You can opt out of having your data used by Google Analytics.
7. Cookies
On some of our pages we use so-called “session cookies” to make it easier for you to use our website. These are small text files which are only stored on your computer for the duration of your visit on our website and are deleted – depending on the setting of your browser program – when you close the browser. These cookies do not retrieve any information about you stored on your hard drive and do not affect your computer or files.
Cookies are placed on your computer so that the website offers a better user experience. In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences, store information for things like shopping carts, and provide anonymized tracking data for third-party applications like Google Analytics.
As a rule, cookies improve the use of the website. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or set your browser in a way that it notifies you that cookies are being sent.
Specifically, the following cookies are stored by us for the specified duration (this happens automatically and without our active involvement):
If you leave a comment on our website, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. This is a convenience feature so you don’t have to re-enter all of your data
if you write another comment. These cookies are automatically stored for one year.
If you have an account and log in to this site, a temporary cookie will be set to determine if your browser accepts cookies.
This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, some cookies are set to save your login information and viewing options. Login cookies expire after two days and display option cookies after one year.
If you select “Keep me signed in” when registering, your registration will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.
8. Use of Social Login
Please note that when you log in to our website using the social login from Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, the respective companies collect information about you and your visitor behavior on our website. If you do not want this, you must create a user account with a password on our website and log in. We do not pass on any data collected in this way to anyone.
9. Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form and the user agent string (used to identify the browser) to help spam detection. If you write a comment, it will be stored indefinitely, including the metadata. This way we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
An anonymized character string (also called hash) can be created from your email address and passed to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.
10. Media
If you upload images or videos to our website or send us links to them as part of clinics, courses, (online) lessons or comments, you agree that we use and display these media on our website, or that we may follow the link provided and use the image material for the intended purpose.
11. Payments
We accept payments with PayPal (including credit card payments) and bank transfers. During payment processing, some of your data will be passed on to PayPal or our Bank. Only the information required for processing or making the payment is passed on, such as the total purchase price and payment information. Here you can read the PayPal Privacy Statement. Here is the BMO Privacy Code regarding your bank transfer.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We will update this privacy policy from time to time to protect your personal information. You should review this Privacy Policy occasionally, to stay up to date on how we protect your data and constantly improve the content of our website. If we make bigger changes in how we collect, use, and/or share the personal information you provide to us,
we will draw your attention to this by means of a clear and clearly visible notice on the website. By using the website, you agree to the terms of this privacy policy.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please email us.
